Placing an Order / Browsing the Database
While browsing our database, you can add books to your shopping list at any time by simply clicking "Add" next to each item. To view the contents of your complete order, click the "Order" link at the bottom of the page or from our menu. You may also empty your shopping list at any time by clicking the "Clear Shopping List" link at the bottom of the page. After filling in your information, click the "Check Out" button at the bottom of the form to place your order via email. Please list the publisher, book number, grade, and price if typing your order manually.
You may find specific books using our Quick Search located below the menu on each page. We are in the process of inputting our entire inventory of over 200,000 books and will be updating our database on a weekly basis.
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us only. If you call, our answering system receives your call — I'm usually out of range in the warehouse.
Terms
Books Are Everything! accepts checks and money orders (U.S. Banks and Funds only), made out to Graham Holroyd. Purchases may also be charged by major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, ONLY) or PayPal.
When charging, please email, preferably, or call and leave it on my answering machine — I can't hear the phone in the stockroom. I won't call back but I'll acknowledge by email. My phones are insane. Credit card orders please provide the following information:
- THE NAME OF THE CARDHOLDER AS IT APPEARS ON THE CARD
- YOUR CARD NUMBER
- THE DATE OF EXPIRATION
- THE 3 DIGIT SECURITY CODE (REQUIRED)

Postage & Insurance (Outside U.S.)
All foreign postage is approximately $17.00 for the first pound, about $7.00 for the second pound. I will weigh and quote for acceptance before processing.
Refunds
Books may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt for a prompt refund. No credit slips are given. We make no substitutions on items previously sold, but your choice of alternate selections is always appreciated. In all cases, contact us prior to returning any books.
Discounts
None at this time. Major price revisions individually will be occurring over time.
Sales Tax
New York residents must remit an 8% sales tax on the total purchase price, including postage and insurance.
Definition of Book Grades
| NEAR FINE | Our highest grade (rarely used) and a perfect unread copy. |
| ALMOST NEAR FINE | A near-perfect copy having one visible defect somewhere. |
| VG-FINE | A copy having more than one minor defect, usually a faint reading crease. |
| VERY GOOD | A square, tight copy having no more than one major defect and several minor defects. |
| GOOD | A reading copy having several major defects. |
| GOOD- | A poor copy having many major defects and is suitable for reading only. |
None of our books have loose or missing pages.
